Travels
I love traveling more than anything which, obviously, has to do with my craving for everything foreign. So whenever I have enough money saved and find somebody who’s willing to accompany me, I try to go somewhere I have never been before. In fact, I originally started blogging to record short stories and pictures from my trips.
Recaps and pictures of my trips to
• Poole and London, England (2003)
• Washington, D.C. (2005)
• Kentucky (2005-2006)
• Indianapolis (2006)
• Cologne, Germany (2006)
• Dortmund, Germany (2006)
• Paris, France (2007)
• Fehmarn, Germany (2007)
• Kentucky (2007)
• Freiburg, Germany (2007)
• Strasbourg, France (2007)
• Sélèstat and Colmar, France (2007)
• Maastricht, the Netherlands (2007)
• Bremerhaven, Germany (2008)
• Maastricht, the Netherlands (2008)
Note: I have also been to Denmark, Italy, Spain (Mallorca and Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands right off the North-West-African coast), Belgium and about a thousand times to a Dutch island called Texel - but these were all family vacations.
I also used to add small trips within German borders, for instance to Dortmund or Cologne, on here but ever since my friends and I spread out across Germany after graduating from high school, these trips have become more regular and are no longer documented here.
I’d love to go to Alaska one day and also visit different places in Canada, including Vancouver, the island of Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. Norway is also on my list of places I’d love to see. I am fascinated with everything “up North”; it just seems as if nature is still beautiful up there and the air is that little bit clearer. Also: I have a thing for small fishing villages. So there you have it.
