I took this picture yesterday – and somehow it’s the perfect contrast to how I currently feel. I could only wish my mind felt as fresh and clear and open.

The parents and my brother left my hometown about an hour ago. If all goes well they should be here around 8pm; three more hours. Right now, I’m just hoping that they make it here in one piece as they have to make their way through some of the most crowded autobahns in all of Germany. In a semi-truck (more or less, apparently my mom went a little crazy when she requested a large truck at the rental care station). During rush hour. With a holiday coming up tomorrow. Yeah, who planned this move? Shouldn’t someone maybe have made sure that the date wasn’t THE WORST POSSIBLE DATE EVER? I feel so guilty about all that they’ve had to do for this move already, the drive better be an easy one for them.

It doesn’t necessarily help that there was a freak car crash at the Queen’s Parade today. Yeah, the Dutch Queen’s Day is today. That’s right, as of tomorrow I will be living in a country that has a royal family. Can you beat that? I think not. (Uh, unless you’re from the UK. Or Norway. Or, you know, Jordan? Or a million other countries.)

I am so looking forward to seeing my family but I dread having to carry 10+ heavy boxes down four flights of stairs and then up to the second floor again. (Note to self: do not buy any more books ever.) Plus all the furniture, and random knick-knack. Most of all, right now, I’m dreading actually having to live in Maastricht. I’m basically crossing my fingers for some freaky over-night change of mind.

I’ll type from my new apartment next time. Can I get a yee-haw? No? No, not from myself, either.

I’m sorry I’m in such a pissed, dark mood lately. I know y’all have been having a crazy week what with different finals and everything. EmmySuh and Bobbi – I want you guys to be my new tutors from now on because just reading your school-related Tweets this past week has exhausted me. You guys are awesome. Heh. And everyone else I love just as much!
