A very good day
In case you haven’t had one in a while, this is what it could look like:
• Found out that I passed my exam. Barely passed it, but I PASSED IT.
• Only seven people showed up to class today. Among the missing was the assigned chairperson and so F, our tutor, took over. The most relaxed and enjoyable class meeting thus far.
• J didn’t come to uni today but I sort of teamed up with M who’s nothing like me at all but we get along pretty well. Walked back to the bus stop together and talked for a bit which to me is always an accomplishment since I don’t tend to be very social and talkative. On the bus back to Aachen, I saw two Dutch girls who had once been part of an exchange between my school and theirs. This happened before, I had seen a girl at uni that I definitely knew from that exchange. How small is this world? SCARY small.
• Arrived back here in Aachen, went straight to the store to get some pasta and of course the Christmas market is right between the bus stop, my apartment and the store and…
• … it is BEAUTIFUL. I have no words. None. The lights, all the happy people, the cold air, the heavenly smells, the decoration. All of it is always so perfect. I didn’t get a chance to really look at anything, though, since it was already late and I needed to get home. Sorry, no pictures yet but an in-depth Christmas market blog entry is definitely coming up soon.
• And then, just as I was walking back to my place, it began to snow. I kid you not. I felt like in a movie or something. It never snows where I’m from and since Aachen is only four hours from my childhood home, I assume snow isn’t a very usual occurence here either. But oh, I was glad and I called my brother because he was the first that came to mind and I told him that I had just walked across the Christmas market and that it was dark and windy and snowing.
AND THAT TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY.

Oh I can’t wait for it to start snowing here. Snow is my favorite thing about winter. I don’t think it should be that cold outside and not snowing. Christmas time is near!
